ABOUT THE ROLE: Family Law Attorney

CQ Attorneys use their substantive knowledge of family law and litigation experience in order to help their clients and, most importantly, their children achieve the most beneficial outcomes. As a CQ attorney, you use your eloquent communication and presentation skills in court, with your client, over the phone, over video conferencing software, and on paper empathetically and effectively.

A day in the life of a CQ attorney might include...

  • Appearing in court (via teleconference, video conference, or in-person)
  • Collaborating with clients, paralegals, legal assistants, the billing team regarding the management on cases
  • Testing out a new social media filter with the team
  • A social distancing luncheon
  • Brainstorming or providing input at the attorney roundtable

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience litigating family law cases
  • Admission to the California State Bar
  • Bonus points if you are a Certified Family Law Specialist, or immediately eligible for certification

Corona, California
The Custody Queens HQ is in Corona, CA. (We thought it was only appropriate since “corona” is Spanish for “crown”.) We also have offices in Newport Beach, Murrieta, Riverside, San Diego and Vista.

Senior Family Law Litigation Attorney

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Substantive knowledge concerning statutes, regulations, and rules affecting family law
  • Excellent presentation and communication in court and internal meetings, with the ability to synthesize succinctly, assess the audience and ensure client understanding
  • Superior writing capabilities
  • Ability to handle high asset and highly complex caseload with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work alone or collaborate with a group
  • Outstanding reputation of professional integrity and ethics
  • Ability to resolve family law cases either by settlement or trial
  • Ability to manage cases with all staff involved including: paralegals, legal secretaries, legal assistants, and the billing department
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience litigating family law cases

Eligible candidates must be licensed in California and have graduated from a law school. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Family Law Specialist, or immediately eligible for certification.

Associate Family Law Attorney

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Litigate a family law matter from start to finish with actual courtroom experience. The firm currently handles custody, visitation, support, protective orders, and all other aspects of Divorce, Domestic Violence, and Paternity cases
  • Develop family law cases by conducting research on various issues
  • Have strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Attend depositions, mediation, and hearings
  • Review, analyze, and draft legal documents with strong organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Communicate with knowledge and compassion with clients of various levels of sophistication regarding technical matters
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including outside attorneys, senior management, clients, and support staff with a high level of personal integrity and professional ethics
  • Track and manage billable hours and ensure all aspects of client and case management are properly met
