Legal Assistant

Custody Queens is a growing family law firm that seeks candidates that are interested in the working for a firm that offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package to chosen candidates. We are looking to hire a Legal Assistant for our Corona office.
As a Legal Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Client management
- Maintaining client files
- Screen calls from potential clients
- Perform initial telephonic conference of potential client
- Input data from telephonic conferences into tracking system
- Working with attorneys in drafting and finalizing correspondence
- Prepare pleadings, legal writing and miscellaneous documents at the direction of the attorney
- Manage calendars and coordinate meetings, conferences and trainings
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a legal assistant or similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Established client-facing and internal communication skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once
- Ability to adapt as needs transform
- Capability to work alone or collaborate in a group
- Collaborative/ Mediation experience a plus
- The candidate will have experience (more than basic familiarity) with Word Perfect, Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Family Law experience is preferred but not required
- A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) is a plus, but not a requirement.
