Jennifer Ponce, MSW, CHES

Prevention & Education Manager, Laura’s House

Jennifer Ponce is the prevention education manager with Laura’s House, a nonprofit that offers education and comprehensive services to domestic violence survivors in Orange County, Calif. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Boston University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.

For the last 15 years, Jennifer has implemented community outreach and education programs internationally and domestically. She is passionate about social welfare and providing education and resources to disadvantaged communities and victims of violence. Jennifer has been instrumental in the creation and expansion of Healthy Emotions and Attitudes in Relationships Today (H.E.A.RT.), an effective teen dating violence prevention program, and has also developed other successful prevention programs addressing intimate partner violence, inclusivity, healthy masculinity, and restorative justice practices.

Jennifer has been featured as a guest expert on “The Doctors”, talk radio, as well as in The Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register. Jennifer is a highly sought expert on the topic of intimate partner violence and is frequently a guest lecturer at high schools, colleges and universities, and a guest speaker at national conferences.

Samantha McBride

Custody Queens, Family Law Attorney

Sam is a resourceful, detailed-oriented, and tenacious family law attorney who is highly regarded by her clients for her skillful writing, responsiveness, and energetic representation.

Kristina Roberts, PhD, QME

Psychologist

Kristina Roberts, Ph.D., QME is a psychologist who does therapy, psychological testing, and court work with family law cases. She has worked with trauma victims and survivors for over 10 years including situations of intimate partner abuse, child abuse, military veterans, and rape survivors, as well as with survivors of mass shootings. Dr. Kristina teaches personal empowerment classes for victims/survivors of intimate partner abuse and works with perpetrators of abuse as well. She supervised crisis teams in San Bernardino County and has taught college for 21 years.

Dr. Kristina is one of the authors of the Mann/Roberts Trauma Interview tool for intimate partner violence – a tool for attorneys, mental health professionals, and others to explore the effect that trauma has on a victim/survivor and on children: especially those “less common” symptoms which are frequently misunderstood so that the full context of these effects can be explained in a court or therapy setting. She has also has expertise in assessing and testifying about the effects of intimate partner abuse on children, even if they were not directly abused.

Kristin Boyd, AMFT

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Kristin Boyd is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT114076) working with Cottonwood Psychology Center in Anaheim Hills, California, under the supervision of Dr. Megan Phillips. Kristin works with a variety of populations, including individuals, families, and couples.

She has a background in providing crisis support for women who have experienced sexual assault, often in the context of a domestic violence relationship. Kristin has a passion for helping trauma survivors, teens, new moms, individuals who have suffered loss, and those who need guidance in setting healthy boundaries. Her goal is to help her clients navigate life’s difficult transitions with strength, support, and empowerment.

Amanda Hearne, MS

Program Manager, Laura’s House

Amanda Hearne is the Program Manager for Laura’s House Domestic Violence Advocacy Center, a non-profit that offers an array of education and advocacy services to survivors of intimate partner violence throughout Orange County, California. With a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Minor in the field of Psychology, she grew passionate about the mission of Laura’s House and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California State University, Fullerton.

For the past 6 years, Amanda has provided clinical services to those in need through individual, family, and group therapy – including empowerment-based groups with teens and the Women’s Jail in Santa Ana, California. Amanda is vastly informed on the topic of intimate partner violence and has contributed to pieces featured in the Orange County Register and local news, in addition to guest lecturing at local universities and national conferences.
